To take care of our customers to the best of our ability, Hometown Painting offers a warranty on our painting work. We do our best to get it right every time, but if we ever miss something, we encourage you to call us any time with a question or concern.
What Our Warranty Covers
Every Hometown Painting project comes with a written warranty:
- Interior and exterior painting: 5-year written warranty on walls, trim, and exterior surfaces.
- Kitchen cabinet painting: 2-year written warranty.
- Fence, deck, pergola and other exterior staining: 2-year written warranty.
Your warranty begins on the date the contract is signed, and your contract states your project’s exact terms. It covers paint that cracks, chips, or peels during the warranty period, as well as stain that peels or develops mildew during the period.
To Qualify for Your Warranty
- Pay in full for the contract amount when the work is completed.
- Retain your original contract.
- Contact us within the warranty period to report the issue.
- Make the property accessible so we can perform the repairs.
What Hometown Painting Will Do
- Repair any areas with peeling or flaking at no cost to you.
- Use the same techniques and products from the original contract (or the closest equivalent if they’re no longer available).
What Our Warranty Does Not Cover
- Exact color matching between repaired and non-repaired areas (we’ll do our best to match).
- Any work where Hometown Painting did not supply the paint materials.
- Any horizontal surface where water can pool.
- Moisture damage from improper drainage, gutters, or sprinklers.
- Paint applied to rotten or unsuitable wood. We’ll point out any rotten wood during the estimate or job. If you choose not to replace it, we can’t warranty paint on that surface.
